Monroe County Leadership Now Class Does History Tour

The Monroe County Leadership Now class had a beautiful day for a history tour of Monroe County last Thursday. The historic places visited were: The Monroe County Museum, The Country Store and Dog-Trot House in Peterman, Rutherford Bros. Store and the First United Methodist Church in Franklin, The Masonic Lodge in Perdue Hill, and the site of the lost city of Old Claiborne. We also a wonderful lunch and talked of the history in Finchburg.

We would like to thank our extraordinary tour guides for making this such a fun and educational experience: Rabun Williams, Marie Klepac, Sage Smith, Sandy and Rayford Smith, and Agee Broughton.
